New Years Bash January 2nd 1012

Merry Christmas from all the committee at Falkland Golf Club and have a Happy New Year. What better way to start it then coming along to the New Years Bash at 0930 on Monday 2nd January. Gents Ladies Members and Guests all welcome. Its a 3 club (one must be a putter) comp over 9 holes followed by Darts, Dominos and a Carpet putting comp. Food is also thrown in for the £5 total entry fee, it will be a great day.
We are also holding a raffle for a FREE BALLOON FLIGHT with Virgin (worth £155) , tickets are available now over the bar for £1 each. The draw will be made at the New Years Bash.

Heres to great golf in 2012 and hope to see you on the 2nd.

A fun bunch of ladies from Saline Golf Club came along to Falkland Golf Club to sample the great hospitality we have to offer at our wee club.
A warm welcome is always guaranteed, however we cannot promise that you will have 3 Captains of the club serving your food and drinks as we did today for these ladies!

Friday 3^rd

June at 6.30 pm

Teams of 4 how fast can you play the 9^th Hole

Depending on the numbers each team will get a few attempts.

· Players can position themselves at any point on the hole and nominate the order of the team players.

· All shots must then be taken in that order.

· When the horn goes, the first player can tee off and the stopwatch will start. The watch will be stopped when the ball hits the bottom of the cup.

· If player 1 puts the ball out of bounds then player 2 must take the shot from the original place.

· The ball must be stationary before a shot is played.

· If the ball is stopped by any part of a player his team or their equipment then the team is disqualified from that attempt.

· Players may carry as many clubs as they want.

· Players may use each others clubs during play of a hole.

· All strokes on the putting green must be made with a putter.

· The winner will be the team who completes the hole in the shortest time, in the event of a tie the lowest score on the hole will be the winner

Tee off 5pm – 7pm

(The course will become very confusing for normal play so please just come along and join in the fun instead)

9 holes with 2 clubs (one must be a putter)

Play the walks and walk the plays.

Gents yellow tees will be used. Members and Guests welcome

Order of Play

Start at 9^th tee and play to 8^th Green

Tee off at forward 2nd and play to 7^th Green

Tee off at 7^th tee and play to the 6^th Green

Tee off at 6^th Tee and play to 5^th Green

And so on

Then bring your score into the clubhouse and enjoy a few drinks, with food available if you so desire.
